Nouns for beginners

Welcome to an introductory course on Nouns, presented by Teacher Nikki from Teacher On Call. In this three-part series of lessons, students are introduced to nouns and how to identify nouns. Students can follow along with the recorded lessons, which take place in a virtual classroom. The lessons are fun and engaging aimed at children from the age of 7 to 10. Beginner students who can form basic sentences will benefit from the lesson, especially as flashcards are included to help build vocabulary. By the end of the lesson, students can identify the difference between common and proper nouns, place nouns into sentences, and form their own sentences using nouns. This lesson is not for an absolute beginner with little sentence construction knowledge. So, come along and join Teacher Nikki on your new learning adventure.

Introduction to Nouns

How to identify common and proper nouns for beginners and children

This is a 3 part series which introduces students to nouns. The lessons help students identify the differences between common and proper nouns. Worksheets have been designed for each lesson, which students can complete during the lesson. Flashcards of most of the nouns from the lessons are included, as well as some nouns games for children. By the end of the lesson, students can identify nouns, add nouns to sentences and create their own sentences using nouns. This lesson is aimed at children from the age of 7 to 10 and beginner speakers who have a basic understanding of sentence construction. All three videos in total are 1 hour 15 minutes long. Coursework, answers and flashcards are included.

Hi, I'm Nikki, from Teacher on Call.

I have 15 years experience teaching English online and in the classroom. I have experience teaching first, second and third language English to children between the ages of 5 and 12. I am TEFL certified and have spent the past three years teaching English to children online. At the beginning of 2022, I began creating my own courseware and syllabus for my young students and so began branding Teacher On Call.
